Debby does, doesn’t, did, and all the grammatical varieties of the same
Born and raised on the Jersey Shore (the southern end, not Snooki territory), Debby is a product of a musical mash up of divorced parents, doting grand parents, and a never ending parade of interesting types, who came in and out of her world at a dizzying pace. From belly dancing babysitters to virtuoso clarinetists, life was simply an extension of the rich imaginary life gleaned from books. A natural born singer and comedienne, Debby followed her path to Indiana University, destined to be a great opera singer. Upon leaving IU, she found herself married to the greatest guy on earth and singing her heart out on musical theater stages. Then, in an unexpected twist of fate, she landed in a high school music classroom for 25 years. Freshly retired, it’s time for Debby to share her do’s and don’ts learned along the way.
How does Debby do what she does, doesn’t, and did?
For some reason, if Debby says it, does it, or writes it, other people want in on it. Whether that’s a reflection of her ever present sass or her comfort in being perfectly imperfect, Debby has a way of opening her world to her followers. From her musical journeys to her educational anecdotes; her adventures in life and love with her associate, Jim; the tragic descent into dementia of her dear mom; and Debby’s relentlessly determined battle to make cancer easy, people are along for the ride.
